Hospital feeding

I'm due to have baby early March but I'm paniking about hospital feeding.

Due to medication BF is not an option. So I'm trying to find the most cost affective and storage efficient way to formula feed baby.

I have tried to find teats for the 200ml premade formula bottles but this doesn't seem to exist. Just wondered if anyone else has had this issue and found a good way to resolve

Thanks

Fair enough @Ohalrightthen it was just a passing comment not meant to get you riled up. OP I’d recommend taking actual formula rather than pre-made as my hospital wouldn’t accept it. I had to make it from scratch using powder and boiled water and letting it cool etc. Obviously all hospitals are different but that was my experience.

I would definitley ask your mw, i have had five dc at our local hospital, first couple i took powdered formula but they gave me the ready made ones. Others i took ready made.

I'm not in the UK but here if you aren't breastfeeding you are given the tiny pre made bottles and no issues made out of it. Some of these situations sound really stressful especially after a difficult birth where you don't need any extra drama

I would ring up and find out what the situation is. I had to bring colostrum with me which needed to be kept in a fridge and they had a milk fridge available. They encouraged us to do this in fact.

I do think if you can afford it using the pre made bottles is easier. My hospital gave out little doll sized disposable sterilised bottles for putting your own formula into. So I suppose you could order those. Or a Milton tub and tablets and wash up and sterilise that way.

Oh i think milton do a travel size steriliser actually that does one bottle in cold water with tablet in 15 min. Might be a good option

Due to covid it's unlikely the maternity ward will let you use their facilities yourself to make milk , I was in 6days post birth and even mums who were pumping had to buzz to get someone to get their milk in the fridge so I would go with the starter packs rather than relying on the staff being able to help sort the milk.
Even if they do provide their own the one time I ran out just before visiting hours it took them a good 15 minutes to grab a bottle as they had to do so many other things for other mums too so I d honestly take everything you can so you aren't asking for help.
