Hi I’m so sorry this probs seems like a daft question. I’m 7 weeks and I’m confused! I want to cook a korma using sauce in a jar, obs the ingredients has like milk and cream. I presume this would be pasturised and if not then hearing it would make it safe to eat in pregnancy? Sorry 🤦‍♀️ Not quite got the hang of all this yet

Best not to eat the jar itself

There's not that much you can't have from the supermarket, you can even have some eggs runny now if they have been screened for diseases. Google foods to avoid in pregnancy and you'll get plenty of lists to choose from.

I suggest looking at the nhs website list of foods to avoid and follow that/

ChocOrange1 · 20/01/2021 15:57

Yes there are very few things you need to avoid. Milk and cream are fine, in this country they would always be pasteurized. Have s look at NHS choices for info on what to avoid.

The only unpasteurised milk you will find will be in some soft cheeses like Brie and some goats cheese, and it will say on the packet it’s unpasteurised.

Probably best not to do this though

Hi, I’m new to all this. Was wondering what sort of takeaways are safe during pregnancy. I’m 4 weeks. Not too sure what’s safe and what’s not. Please help, thankyou

Best to start your own thread, this is an old one. However, since you asked... somewhere that cooks its rice fresh each day and cooks beansprouts thoroughly. These are more likely sources of food poisoning than meat, I believe.
