Back labour or sciatica nerve pain?

Hi, I am 35weeks pregnant. This morning I woke up with a pulsating pain in my spine. I have pretty much had it all day along with lower back ache. when I sit down I get an intense throbbing ( bit like a pulse) pain in my spine. And to add too it Now when I stand up or walk I feel like my pubic bone is splitting in half.. anyone have or had anything similar?

I can't figure out if this is possibly back labour or just a sciatica nerve pain or something.

Hmm hard to say as everyone feels it differently. I'd say if you're concerned call triage either way.

If it helps I had back labour until I was fully dilated. It wasn't like throbbing in my spine at all, waves of cramps and the feeling of my spine being bent backwards is best way to describe it for me.

Have you tried painkillers, bath, walking? Exercise ball?

Hope you're ok x

It does sound different to yours maybe it is something to do with my nerves the baby is measuring on the big side so possibly just too much wait for me to handle. With my last two I had back labour but they where very complicated labour's and I can not for the life of me remember what it feels like to compare it to😅.

I tried a bath that soothed it untill I got out of the bath and it started straight back up, same with the exercise ball as soon as I stood up it was back , After a night's sleep it seems to have eased but If it hasn't I will call triage and see what they think. Thankyou for your reply you have eased my mind a little 🙂xx
