My partner and I fell pregnant on out first cycle. I'm absolutely over the moon!! I'm only 4+3 now but for maybe just over 2 weeks now I just can't stop crying. Everything is making me cry and to be honest I'm just sick of it now. It's exhausting. I'm furloughed from work and dreading going back because I work in an all male staff and predominantly male clients. I don't want to be emotional in work.

Please tell me I'm not the only one? What can I do to keep a handle on this? Every little thing is setting me of!
Thanks 😊

I don’t know how to control it but I’m 8weeks and cried at the on the beach advert the other day. It’s ridiculous Grin

Do you think keeping busy at work will keep your mind focused on work tasks so you might not feel as emotional maybe?

LittleAurora · 17/01/2021 12:17

I hope so. I'm usually so busy in work that even getting to go to the loo is tricky.

Don't worry. It's normal, you can put it down to the hormones (and also the current unusual climate, being furloughed and all). I am a secondary school teacher (20 weeks pregnant) and before schools closed in Scotland, I was an absolute mess. I cried at work so often that my boss thought I had mental health issues but no: just the good old hormones.

There is no shame in being emotional. Take care x

I am crying all the time as well, I think it’s to be expected with all the horrible hormones! I wish I knew how to control it, but I have found that it really helps me to be working g because it gives me done thing to focus on. It’s the weekends that are the worst!!

People are often highly emotional during pregnancy but not all the time so don't worry about situation in advance of them happening.

I'm very interesting to know how your partner became pregnant, is this a new thing for men :-)?

LittleAurora · 17/01/2021 14:46

@LizFlowers the way he's strutting around you"d think he was the the only one involved. He's incredibly proud of himself getting the job done first try 🤣🤣 he high fived himself in the mirror lol

Thanks for all the stories. I hope to not tell my boss for quite some time.

I hate to break it to you ladies but my baby is 7 months old and I still cry at random stuff (I was not like this pre-pregnancy) 🙈

Thanks everyone. Still crying at the slightest reason. But at least it's normal ☺️

Fwiw I’ve found this faded in later pregnancy.
If it started a full two weeks ago though it could also be something else? You might not even have ovulated / egg fertilised back then. I think The hormones start from implantation?
