Cracked bleeding lips during pregnancy

Has anybody else experienced extremely cracked and bleeding lips during pregnancy? I am 22 weeks and have had this problem since about 18 weeks pregnant. No matter what I try (good quality lip balms, drinking more fluids, even avoiding lip balms) nothing works!

I didn't have this issue with my first pregnancy. I have bought a really good body shop lip balm and it works whilst it is on but isn't working sorting the problem for the long run.

Any advice would be great!

Im almost 24 weeks and have been really suffering with this since about 20 weeks. The only thing that's helped me in Lansinoh Nipple Cream. Sounds gross but it has honestly worked wonders.

Yep, lanisloh nipple cream is great for this! Cracked lips are often a thing during pregnancy.

I’m 22 weeks too and also been having this problem for the past few weeks - I figured it was dehydration and have been trying to drink more, but I find that everything I drink just tastes horrible at the moment!

@RunnerDuck2020 I do have to constantly remind myself to drink, especially since teaching on Zoom from home! It's so easy to forget to have a drink!

@Tigerlily08 @mongoosebaby Great, thank you!

Xx

I’m 25 weeks and have had this pretty much throughout. Winter really doesn’t help even though I’m barely going outside but I find it’s better when I’m warmer.

Going to try the nipple cream tip from the others (thanks!), but as an alternative this is the only thing making any difference for me so far: www.boots.com/no7-protect-perfect-lip-care-10ml-10286823
