A close friend had her LO in late September. She was induced and had to spend the 3 days by herself and her partner was only allowed there once she was 5 centimetres. Once baby was born (at 12:30am) her partner had to leave 3 hours later. She was not happy with her pre or post care. She had her first LO at the same hospital and said the first time was great but the second time was really not good the whole time unfortunately.
Obviously this is one person and other people will probably come along and say otherwise

Fair enough.. I think especially with covid atm it must be really difficult on the ward to even get much help etc that’s why I’m really Hoping I’m in one night n then able to go Home.. currently my husband can visit but once in recovery I think he can only stay an hour maybe... and then return during visiting

I did. Summer of 2019. It was my second baby so I have previous experience of another hospital. It was a really poor experience. The wards were full of agency staff that had no idea what they were doing. My DS was poorly and despite numerous 'checks' it was only until I started shouting and demanding to see a paediatrician that they agreed and it turned out I was right. He ended up spending to weeks in special care. I was given the wrong medication twice in the time I was in. It is fair to say that postnatal wards are never fun but the lack of due care and attention at QE was a big issue. Especially when it came to monitoring my baby.

All in all very poor care. I am expecting again and I have referred myself to King's instead.
