Northampton or Milton Keynes

Am trying to decide whether to have my baby at Northampton or Milton Keynes Hospital. Have to have hospital care as high risk due to previous Caesarean.
What are the consultant like at the hospital, are they going to be ok if I ask for an elective section?
Does anyone have any experiences of the hospitals? First one was in London so I don't know either. I am closer to Milton Keynes but not sure from reviews whether it is better to go to Northampton. Are their nice consultant in MK?
Any tips?

Would like to know this too. I'm moving to MK in 3 months. I'm 5weeks

I've not given birth in either of them but I have been to them both, under dermatology at Mk and have seen consultants and my son had an op at Northampton

So whilst I can't speak for the maternity care, MK is a university hospital and is a lot more modern, Northampton is quite rundown. Experiences at both have been fine, parking is easier at mk as well, and they are very good with reminders. So I don't know if that's any help but that's my experience of them anyway

I had my first baby in Northampton by emergency c-section in 2019 and I have zero complaints about my experience from the second we arrived to the second we left, 3 nights stay in total and felt very well looked after.

I had an elective section at Northampton for no other reason than maternal request, and they were great.

Midwives were fine about it, a few comments from the consultants about 'no other hospitals just hand out c sections because you want one' but they were fine, saying they couldn't say no after the midwife said yes.

Baby ended up needing some time in NICU, and they were honestly amazing, and this was during COVID too! I stayed in whilst she was in there, I could visit whenever, they would call a Porter whenever I asked to go and see my baby, and my husband could also visit her whenever he wanted in NICU. We could visit together as long as we had booked a slot so that only one baby at a time had two parents there but the others could have one due to social distancing, and he could visit me 2-6 every day.

In the end we were both moved to transitional care for a few days and I have no complaints whatsoever about the care we received.

Thanks for your comments Glad that you had a good experience and congrats!
Glad they were supportive with your decision and that the section was Ok.
Anyone had an experience of MK?
