Posted here as well as on miscarriage thread as haven't got any responses on the other one.
Due to have a scan tomorrow to find out if I've miscarried.
Currently I'm 10+1, but last week at 9weeks exactly all my symptoms suddenly stopped. I had been feeling horrendously nauseous and being sick multiple times a day and night, and all of a sudden there on Monday I had nothing! I thought I'd wait a few days as I know symptoms can fluctuate, but come Thursday I thought it was past a time of fluctuation and more likely something was wrong. I rang the doctor who referred me straight away for a scan but due to Covid the earliest they could book me in was Wednesday (tomorrow).
I'm prepared for bad news but would like to know what happens after they tell you there's no heartbeat? Do I get ushered into a room to discuss my options? I've decided already to opt for surgery (it's faster and my son won't have to witness me in pain), how long would I have to wait for that?
Sorry for all the questions! I'd like to be as informed as possible before they give me awful news!

Hi. I am so sorry you are going through this. I hope everything works out OK for you and that they have just stopped randomly.

I had a missed miscarriage in October 2019 so can share my experience from that. The sonographer explained to use that they couldn't find a heartbeat. We were taken to another area to discuss our options. A consultant came to talk to us, along with a midwife a separate intervals. There was a lot of paperwork to complete. We opted for medical management, which was begun there and then. Surgical management would have taken place two/three days later if we had opted for it. It wasn't too painful, just like strong period pains. A hot water bottle got me through.

I was unlucky in that my body took a really long time to gets its act in gear and realise I wasn't pregnant. I had to go back for weekly blood tests for several weeks until my hormones had dropped to an acceptable level. It was very upsetting and frustrating. I didn't realise that could happen.
