Hi momma’s,
First time mum to be!
I’m just looking for advise and should
I be worried or not.
I’m 20 weeks 3 days and Little man is normally quite active especially when I’m led down or in bed but the past 2 days I haven’t really felt him that much.
Is this normal? I know he is still so small with plenty of room to move but I can’t help but worry😳

Didn't want to read and run.

Definitely call triage and ask them if you should come in to have it checked over.

Most likely you just can't feel him much because he's still so tiny, but better to have it checked out. x

I'm 21 weeks 5 days with my first and I'd felt a bit of movement and then nothing for 2 days this weekend. I was worried about so rang the maternity assessment centre and they said that it's normal for this stage in pregnancy. I'd give your maternity assessment centre a ring so they advise and reassure you ☺️

If baby has a normal pattern and you think they aren't following the pattern then call the midwife number and they will get you checked.

I agree with PP it's most likely as baby is still small.

It may also put your mind at ease if you drink a glass of cold water or juice and lie on your side in a quiet room to see if you can feel baby then, sometimes when very busy you may not notice baby moving as much.

20 weeks is still really early to feel Movement and most will reassure you over the phone but won't tell you to come in that early as a pattern can't be established until at least 28 weeks.
It's still very small in there has likely just changed position. At 20 weeks their really isn't much they can/will do as it's well before the viable intervention cut off

Hmm I’ve had exactly the same for the last 3/4 days and am 22 weeks tomorrow. Before that baby was super active for 3/4 days after what ha s end a quiet spell. I didn’t think to ring the midwife as assumed it’s too early in my pregnancy for proper patterns but now I’m wondering if I should!

I agree with others that 20 weeks is early and normally they won't do anything until 24 weeks.
But give them a call and see that they say!

Midwives will always say to go in and get checked out if there is reduced movement. It is very usually absolutely nothing to worry about but my midwife said that even if I was there once a week, they dont care, they prefer you to come and get checked if you have any concerns.

If you're worried call them but be aware that they will probably ask you to go in and there isn't a lot they can do if there is a problem at 20 weeks (although that starts to change pretty soon!) - it's more for reassurance at this stage (which is still really valuable).

FWIW I first felt movement at 15 weeks, DH could feel the kicks at 17 weeks and my baby is only just starting to get into a pattern at 27 weeks and still scares me from time to time. I've been in 3 times now - I'll have 3 or so days of constant movement (50+ movements in 15 minutes pretty much constantly all day from when I wake up isn't uncommon) and then I'll have a day where it'll take 90 minutes to get 10 movements even though it's the evening when he's usually most busy and I've had a glass of ice water and am lying on my left side. He's been absolutely fine every time but I've always been told I did the right thing to go in given how much the movement has changed. I think I just have an inconsistent baby!

My MW did tell me I should be starting to feel a pattern from about 22 weeks. That definitely hasn't been the case for me but is what she told me.
