Daft question about nursing bras.

It might be a daft question, but it might not be.
I know on a normal underwire bra, the wires lay flat against your body and the centre sits between your breasts on to your chest.
But on a non wired bra, how is it meant to sit? Is it more like a crop top type effort?
Or should it still somehow separate your breasts?
I'm currently sat wearing the comfiest nursing bra I have ever owned, at a 38GG they don't come easily or cheaply- but now thinking it's not offering as much support as I'm used to and I don't want to cause any tissue damage.

They are not as supportive, although you can get non wired bras that are very supportive, however when you are nursing you don’t want a restrictive bra that holds the breasts too firmly. The breasts will vary in size and will be producing milk and so they need to be treated differently from the days when they were held firmly in place.

Thanks for replying @LittleTiger007 it's holding them enough that they're not just flapping about in the breeze, and I can bend forward without spilling out, and the back band is comfortable with room to expand if I get rib flare again.

It’s a tricky one. I’m having difficulty finding bras with a good fit too.
