Are people planning to use support bubbles?

I was wondering, how many people are planning to make use of support bubbles once their babies are born? Currently you can form a support bubble with another household if you have a child under 1, even if you live with another adult. www.gov.uk/guidance/making-a-support-bubble-with-another-household

I was planning to form a bubble with my parents who live nearby, but with cases getting so high I'm worried I might pass them the virus from a hospital appointment or something. On the other hand I'm a first-time mum having twins, and my partner will be starting a new job just before the due date, so I've got no idea how I will cope without them!

I have a 10 month old. My mum visited a few times during lockdown first time round, when it was illegal. I would not have coped otherwise. I imagine you probably will want that support bubble.

I know the virus doesn't discriminate and it's a lottery as to how badly individuals are affected but I'd consider the risks. How old are your parents? Do they have any health conditions?

If there are no immediate risk factors for your parents, they are adhering to the guidelines and you're taking all of the necessary precautions then I'd say go for it!

I had my first in June and although DH is very hands on, I'm so glad I had/have the support of my parents (although I shouldn't have been seeing them as I'm in Scotland and we don't have the 'babies under 1' exception).
