I'm currently 19+1 weeks pregnant with my first after 2 years TTC and a MC in March so I'm maybe over worrying for no reason.

My dog got a fright earlier and jumped up on to my stomach, it did hurt (he's 23kg) but nothing overly bad so I wasn't too worried about it after a few mins, however, it's now been about 3 hours and I've started getting cramping (mild but enough to cause discomfort) and I'm starting to panic a little bit. Would you be worried? If so, what would you do - who to phone etc?

When I was pregnant I was given the 24 hour number for the midwives in the hospital. It will be in a sticker in your pregnancy book. If you dont have this number I would mabeyring 111.
I'm sure it's nothing but I would get it checked out.

Your midwife should have given you a number to call. Try googling maternity triage for your local hospital as they will be able to advise.

@Aimee1987 @husbandcallsmepickle thank you. I had the number for the 24 hour EPU at the hospital so gave them a phone. They said to monitor it overnight as the cramping is mild and to phone back in the morning or to phone back straight away if the pain gets worse or I start bleeding.

My next scan isn't until next Thursday so think I'll be worrying until then!

I honestly would not be worried about this, but I understand completely that you are. I had a few big knocks during both of my pregnancies, including falling down a flight of stairs, and everything was perfectly fine. Your baby is very well protected in there.

@Aquamarine1029 thank you, I've woke up feeling okay and not had any bleeding so going to try relax about it now and hold off until my scan on the 7th

I’m so glad that you’re feeling better. I am also 19 weeks and two weeks ago the exact same thing happened. My dog head butted my belly and it really hurt for about 12 hours. I was so worried and cross with the dog who is oblivious. My other dog knows something is up and is being extra protect and gentle. Everything was fine as fortunately they are well protected in there. I have been much more careful around the dog since!

@LittleTiger007 glad everything was okay! It really is worrying, jumping up isn't something my dog usually does so I wasn't expecting it, he just got a fright and literally in a flash was on me then off again. It was the cramping last night that made me start to panic but thankfully everything seems to be okay!

Do get yourself checked if you’re unsure, but hopefully all is well

@LittleTiger007 I finally felt little flutters of movements last night and this morning so I've relaxed loads now😁
