What do I need for my labour bag ?

I'm not due until February but I'm gonna crack on with my labour bag , my MIL got me a gorgeous bag for Christmas so I've decided to use that

I've looked online but it seems to be very American , & the NHS website seems to be a little "too much"
Of course , this could be my ignorance as this is my first

Could anyone pop down anything I'll need or essentials they are taking / have used in the past

Thank you ladies ☺️☺️

Pack more maternity pads than you think you’ll need. I took 2 packs and had to send my Mum out to get me more as I was through them in the day! My midwives told me to double them up so I got through them very quickly.

Other than that;

At least 3x each of vests, bodysuits, hats, mittens (I took different sizes too as there were queries over my DD being very small, so I took tiny baby and newborn)
Comfortable pyjamas for post birth for you.
Snacks and drinks (for you and birthing partner)
Blankets for baby
Starter kits of milk if you intend to formula feed
Dummies if you intend to use them and formula feed (if you want to breastfeed it’s best to wait for this to be established before introducing a dummy)
Breast pads (regardless of whether you intend to breast feed, if your milk comes quickly you’ll still leak)
Phone chargers
Comfy clothes for going home - maternity leggings/hoodies.
Wet wipes - you can obviously have a shower after birth but I found it nice to also have wet wipes to have a quick clean in between.
Cotton wool for babies bum or sensitive
/water wipes.
Nappies.

I’m sure I’m missing stuff but that’s the first things that come to mind!

@Noornie thank you !!!
I've grabbed 2 packs of pads & thought I'd only need one so put another pack back in the drawer - I'm glad I asked now otherwise I would of took 1 pack 😂

Double the maternity pads you think you'll need!
2x pjs (I had 1 pair vest & shorts, the other vest and long bottoms)
Phone charger/phone with downloaded films/tv programs/playlists/podcasts in case you're in there a while pre baby arriving
Comfy clothes to come home in (I had a vest, leggings and long shirt)
Toiletry bag (hair wash, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, bobbles/clips)
Lip balm (DH applied this a lot for me during labour)
Water bottle
Snacks (I had dried fruit, jelly sweets, chewing gum, crisps, small bottle of squash)

Nappies
Wipes
Formula (if using, I recommend the small bottles that come with the sterilised teats. Then you don't need to worry about sterilising bottles, etc)
Vests & sleepsuits (I took 3 of each)
Hat & Cardigan (though we were given one by the hospital)
A going home outfit if you have something special for them to wear (DD just wore a lovely sleepsuit and matching hat)

Your DH may also find having his own bag handy. My DH had clean boxers, a t shirt, deodorant, toothbrush, cash for parking & vending machine, phone charger, his own snacks (my friend learnt this the hard way after her DH ate her favourite snacks!)

Lots of underpants and pjs/nighties in case of leaks.

In addition to all the usual stuff above, the two things that ended up being most valued to me was my own pillow ( hospitals usually give you just the one pretty poor one!) and an eye mask...the wards never get totally dark - I was in a week so they were both a godsend!
