Does anybody else get sick of comments about your weight?

I am normal weight - within my BMI and 8.5 weeks pregnant. It is already wearing thin that people are continuously making comments about 'you'll be fat', 'fatty', 'you'll need a boob lift' etc.

Am I being over sensitive or are these people just dicks?

@Twinkle1989
Ive called all my pregnant friends fatty, and now I'm pregnant I get called it. As long as it's said with a smile then I take in jest!! Obviously if a stranger / acquaintance said it, then that's different. You become massively sensitive when preggers. X

I'm just getting really annoyed already and I know it will continue. I'm tempted to just say 'I'd rather you didn't call me that if it's all the same' and hope they get the message. I think it is said in jest with the hope of offending tbh!
If you had a brilliant relationship with someone and they joked, that's of course different.

To proceed in saying that my clothes will never fit and I'll need plastic surgery just says it all...

Who the fuck goes around calling pregnant women 'fatty'? I feel like I live on a different planet sometimes.

YANBU. Tell them to pack it in. It's not funny if you find it hurtful.

I'm on my second pregnancy right now, and I'd be extremely upset if anyone said those things to me. No one has.

@Twinkle1989
Depends who's saying it really. My friends say it as a cheeky term of endearment. But say my neighbour, stranger, colleague said it, then that's totally different.
If you don't like it, then nip it in the bud and tell them where to go! X

Thanks ladies!
I'm a little sensitive over my weight anyway (with no real reason to be!) and am one of those people who diets often so it's clear that it would be a sore point. It's almost like it's given people a licence to offend in a jokey way.

Yet I'll be the twat if I turn around and say - I'm pregnant, what's your excuse? ...in a jokey way 🙄

Thank fuck Christmas visiting is over...

Ask them to repeat themselves as the sound of their speech appears to have been muffled by their many chins and pendulous jowls. See how they like it, body-shaming gits.

@FestiveStuffing 😂 brilliant! Thing is, I'm slimmer than those that have made these comments in the first place...
