Hi all,

Merry Christmas Xmas Smile

I’m 18 weeks with posterior placenta. Started feeling movement about 10 days ago. Over the last few days, the taps have ramped up but for the last 24 hours, I haven’t felt anything.

Is this normal?

Thank you all xxx

@Willowfalls
Do not panic in the slightest, completely normal at this stage, so don't lose sleep over it :)
There is so much space in there at the moment, that your little one might hide for a few days.
A good midwife will say that the baby doesn't have a pattern until 28 weeks, but for me I'd say by 22/24 weeks I felt something per day xx

Have you been particularly busy today given it's Christmas?

I found that I didn't notice movement as much when I was busy, rather than baby wasn't moving.

BUT... if you are worried about your baby's movements in anyway you should go get checked. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about though

They aren't going to check you at 18 weeks.....it's very early to feel movement anyway and usually a pattern isn't established until 28 weeks. It's still very small in there and most likely just changed position

I had this with pretty much exactly the same timings,and a posterior placenta. As we speak I’m 32 weeks and she’s wriggling about in there!

As dingosmybaby said, you might have missed something while you were busy. You can try lying down concentrating for an while (I’ve heard an hour...), COLD water, sugar, a walk followed by a lie down...

Thank you so much ladies. I think I felt a few pops in the middle of night! Xx
