Pelvic Pain!

Wondered if anyone had any tips?!

I'm nearly 23 weeks pregnant after a loss at 18 weeks in March so this is the furthest I have got with a pregnancy.
I know all your ligaments loosen up and stretch and if I walk for a significant amount of time my hips really start to hurt but I seem to have an almost constant pain at the front of my pelvis where my pubic bone is.
It seems to be worse when I'm actually in bed. I'm trying to sleep on my side but if I need to turn over its agony and I can actually feel and hear it click!
I've got a pillow to support in between my legs, I'm trying to keep my legs together when getting in and out of bed or the car but nothing seems to be helping
Is it the pressure from baby? Would a pregnancy support belt or band help and can I wear it in bed?

My midwife is a nightmare to get hold of and all my friends who have recently been pregnant never suffered with anything like this

Obviously I am a bit in edge after having my loss so any pain or twinge I expect the worse. I did have a scan yesterday as I had to repeat my 20 week one as baby was being very awkward but everything was absolutely fine

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain. The pain in the middle (boot to the crotch) is called symphysis pubis disorder (spd).

Google pelvic partnership for hints and tips. You'll probably want to see a chiropractor or osteopath who specialises in pregnancy. A list of practitioners is on the pelvic partnership website.

Stop doing things that aggravate the pain - like walking long distance.

Boot to crotch is the perfect description of it, that's exactly what it feels like!
Thank you,. I will have a look at Pelvic Partnership and try and get hold of my midwife again

I've not been doing a lot of long walks, the longest was probably a walk round the supermarket last week and I'm working from home so I am sat most of the day at my desk. Trying to get up for a wander every half hour or so so I don't get too stiff.

It really seems to be the turning over in bed that is the problem at the minute. That combined with my husband's snoring is preparing me for the nights of no sleep in a few months!

That sounds very similar to what I've had over the past couple of weeks, even the turning over in bed! I'm 25 weeks.

I think working from home is making it worse. I try to go for a walk 2-3 times a week but can only just about manage half an hour, and even that's a push. But working from home does mean I'm not moving as much as I should, so my muscles are probably becoming weaker.

I now have the Dream Genii which I've used for the past two nights and that's made a massive improvement. I'm still achy, and I was out for an hour yesterday and really struggled towards the end, but I'm at least not waking up in agony. I even turned side to side in bed without massively struggling!

I also intend to start pregnancy yoga this week. I have a really busy job, so am sitting at my desk from around 10am to sometimes 2am if I'm busy, so hoping the pregnancy yoga will build some strength too.

Can I ask what type of pain it is you have in the front?
I've been having pain that is worse when standing, especially if I've been sitting for a while, also when lying down it gets worse.
My doctor put me on antibiotics thinking it could be a urine infection but my only symptom is right at the front under my belly.
I can't exactly explain the type of pain and have been googling. In some ways it feels like a long cramp and the more I stand up straight, the tighter/crampier it feels

The advice above sounds good about contacting a chiropractor. I think this happens because hormones loosen joints during pregnancy. this especially affects the pelvis which opens up to allow for the baby to be born. I’m 19 weeks and not having this happen yet but I have been getting some knee and hip pain and it’s all related apparently.
I hope you can find some relief OP.

Thank you everyone!

@SnooperTrooper12345 the only way I can describe it, is it's a really heavy pressure. It's worse when I'm turning over in bed, and u can feel and hear the bone at the front of my pelvis clicking which is bizarre! I've been reading on the Pelvic Partnership as suggested by @physicskate for some tips.
The last few days I've really tried to keep my knees together when turning over in bed and getting up.
I realised I was doing the bad thing of standing on one leg while getting dressed when putting my leggings on which is a big no so I've stopped that.
I don't know if it was to do with where baby was laying. My last 2 scans they've been laid on their front facing so I don't know if they were kicking downwards? The last couple of days I've felt movement higher up my stomach and the pain has lessened a lot so I'm guessing they might have moved?

I'm going to try and keep up with the tips I've read online and hopefully it won't get any worse. I have a face to face with my midwife in January so I will mention it then
