Conceived while 39 still, then turned 40 that month of loss. I'm now panicking about the stats on the internet saying you only have a 5 percent chance at 40 per cycle, which is almost non existent really, and can't possibly be true when there are so many that get pregnant at 40 and beyond naturally, i already have a 3 year old so my body can do it, its just this all makes me feel negative, anyone 40 and over pregnant this year after loss, successes please

Currently 24 weeks at age 41, after a late loss in April. Concieved first cycle! I followed advice in 2nd Ed It Starts with the Egg, as well as ensuring my TSH was below 2.5.

All going well, NIPT showed a healthy baby!

Good luck!

Echoing previous poster. We tried 2x - the first time was a chemical pregnancy after one month of trying; we then waited a month, and the next time we tried, like the previous poster, got pregnant first time. Now nearly 36 weeks. We couldn't have asked for it to be easier. I was 39 when we had the chemical pregnancy, and just turned 40 when we conceived again a couple months later.

I also read it Starts with the Egg! We knew we'd want to try about 6 months before so I also got my TSH down to under 2, and lengthened my cycle (which had been around 25 days) by taking Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C (got it up to 28 days). But generally we didn't do much!

I read those stats too - - they sound very bleak. I'm not sure I believe them fully.

Best of luck to you

Wow super quick, I'm on month 4 also following it starts with the egg, what was your take on intercourse frequency? Everyday or every other day...
Thx

Well, the first time we did it on both days leading up to ovulation, but this time - with the baby I'm about to have - we only did it the one time. Actually, because it was the start of Covid, I wasn't actually tracking, as we had thought we might take a break. It was a quickie, one off ;) I can't say exactly what the gap was to ovulation on this occasion.
