Hi all... I’m 27 weeks, a community MH nurse and work for the NHS in a crisis team, overall the work load is risky. My query is in relation to covid, I spoke to occupation health who have advised that I should be non patient facing from 28 weeks owing to covid, but my manager has said I can carry on seeing patients until I don’t want to basically. I have been reading the gov advice which states I should be working from home, I am able to work from home with my role however I know my manager is not keen. I’m confused what I should and shouldn’t be doing. What is everyone’s experience? Thanks in advance :)

I work in operating theatres so are very patient facing, when I get to 28 weeks I will be at home, but can't really work from home so Will basically be medically suspended on full pay. Until mat leave kicks in like normal. I would work from home if u can or get medically suspended. I wouldn't want to take the risk myself

I'm a dentist and am currently working in a patient facing role, although opted not to carry out the aerosol generating procedures. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. I followed the advice on the RCOG website, there's a lot of useful info on there.

I’m a nurse in a community nursing team and have been working from home since 26 weeks, as that was when the second lockdown started so I just asked from that date and have continued to work from home. I personally haven’t seen any patients since finding out I was pregnant and was office based with social distancing measures as I just wasn’t comfortable with the high levels of Covid around.

I’m not sure if the Covid risk assessment is trust specific or generic to the whole nhs but mine states if you are pregnant and 28 weeks and can work from home you should.
