Hi - does anyone have any advice/experience on the above? I'm provisionally booked in for one and hearing mixed reviews of the risks, such as increased still births and baby distress.

Currently 35+3, consultant reckons it's got till 36/40 then chances go down to 8% although I'm trying to remain optimistic it may flip itself round. X

Good luck! I'm confused at the moment as I seem to be getting movement in all sorts of odd places. 35+ 5 today. I'll just have to wait till tomorrow to find out! X

I had this with my first baby, I’m actually really annoyed with midwife because she completely failed to alert me to the importance of trying turn the baby in advance. And by the time I saw her again it was late.

Anyways, I had this done and it was hell. The issue I had with it was pain. They didn’t do a single thing to numb me. I had 2 adult women pushing on my bump trying to manually turn the baby with not even sufficient lubricant for slippage ( because it wouldn’t give them good grip). It was extremely painful and distressing. I have seen some American drs on YouTube who appear to anaesthetise the mother before hand - I imagine with pain not being a limiting step they get more success because they can keep going till they see results. I couldn’t last 3 minutes.
