Hi,

After loss in may I've been temping and peeing on sticks and researching fertility diets and supplements, just want to hear from you if you did the same and got pregnant, I'm fed up of the stories where people say they got pregnant when they stopped trying, thanks

The only way I even knew I was ovulating was through temping, I managed to get pregnant third month of trying after temping religiously, taking supplements and peeing on a stick. I understand that it helps to be try and be more relaxed when ttc, but that doesn't mean that actively ttc isn't going to get results! I hope you get your good news soon xx

Hi!! I recently got my BFP after 5 months TTC!I didn't temp (partner works nights) but I used OPKs and supplements- I also followed the SMEP plan as much as I could - I hope this helps!

Started ttc over a year ago and fell pregnant within 14 days of stopping pill with no periods in between. I miscarried.

Then started ttc straight away and expected to fall pregnant quickly but it took us 7 months despite having blood tests done, food supplements, optimal diets, we are both very healthy no smoking or drinking or drugs and fit. Etc...
All i want to say is that sometimes it has nothing to do with what you do. It just takes time... we were impatient so went to get further tests done in a private fertility clinic and i had hysterescopy done to explore and remove tiny polyps the month before we were succesful. DH was put on a special sperm supplement too.

Carry on being healthy maximising your chances, research stuff but i would say (and i know it's easier said than done) try to live a relatively normal life too.
The month we became pregnant we had gone on holiday, lots of food, sun, activities and we forgot just a little bit about our ttc struggle.
Was still doing opk and vitamins obviously but our focus was a little bit shifted.
Perhaps it helped, or it was just time for us!

It's so hard to know what really gets you that BFP when nothing is obviously wrong.

Hope it happens for you soon x

@sunnysideup2020
Thanks, its interesting you fell after hysteroscopy I've seen a few stories like this plus there is some evidence that the biopsy they do during it, otherwise know as endometrial scratch aids implantation... I had 1 done 3 weeks ago.

@Sef89
My hysterescopy was done beginning of the cycle in june. We did opk and did smep during ovulation after but wasn't successful and i had the heaviest period i had ever had in my life end of june. Got worried i even called the doctor! It eventually settled and i just took some iron supplements. But July was finally successful. So perhaps it was a big flush...
Let us know!

Sorry to hear of your loss @Sef89 . I had a mmc in April '19 and I was most definitely not relaxed in the months after. I temped, opks and all sorts. Finally fell pregnant again in December '19 and I now have my 13 week old daughter asleep on me. Good luck! I also had fertility acupuncture too.

@chanel05

I got pregnant the month after my hysteroscopy which was right after my miscarriage. I definitely felt that it helped.

Sef89 · 21/12/2020 13:37

@LittleTiger007 oh really there seems to be theme with this, did they find anything or was it normal....

@Belalice thanks, I'm glad I'm not the only one, did yiu notice anything different on your pregnancy chart.... I'm sympton spotting, so far my chart is similar to all my others, but I'm only 6 dpo, I'm hoping that because its kinda the same so far that I'm not out this month x

We had to use a syringe. Pregnant then early miscarriage then pregnant again six weeks later, same way. I was tracking ovulation etc for a while but just couldn’t get it without syringing. People who are blasé about stop trying them it’ll happen don’t necessarily understand biology Wink

LittleTiger007 · 21/12/2020 21:12

In my hysteroscopy they found a large fibroid that wasn’t visible on a scan but was preventing any pregnancy from being viable. They also found a small amount of endometriosis which they scraped away.
I became pregnant 6 weeks later. I am so glad I had a hysteroscopy. At 48 this was my last shot and probably for years this is what prevented me from being pregnant full term.
... so I highly recommend asking for a hysteroscopy if you have unexplained repeated miscarriages.

Hi, only had a quick read of the thread so sorry if this has already been mentioned.

I got my bfp this month and annoyingly it was a month in which we stopped ‘trying’ (OPKs, smep etc) BUT this month was also the first month we started using conceive plus lubricant so might have been a coincidence but might be worth a go of you haven’t already tried it x

carnations23 · 22/12/2020 15:18

SMEP was the only thing that worked after trying for 1+ year , unfortunately it didn't stick.

I think reducing stress helped the next time I got a positive.

I had three losses before having DD2. I used the clear blue fertility monitor and SMEP plan - couldn't just hope it happened naturally while waiting for my rainbow baby as also was getting older.
Plsv87 · 22/12/2020 15:45

I think if you want a baby, you never really stop trying.

SH2021 · 22/12/2020 15:59

Hello, I understand where you're coming from as you can't switch off when you know you're trying to get pregnant. I used a device called OvuSense. It tracked ovulation and I got pregnant within 3 months of using it because you "wear" it at night, I felt it was less stressful than peeing on sticks as I felt it was more accurate. Only note I would make is once you have confirmed ovulation, I didn't keep wearing for the rest of the month because I think some people get a bit obsessive tracking their temperature trying to guess whether they got pregnant or not and I don't think that's helpful.

Also maybe TMI but to try and relax I bought new underwear and tried to make most of the sex we had a bit more fun so it didn't feel like we were doing it just because I was ovulating!

Good luck xx
