I was really worried about this so read quite a bit about it. My understanding is that a cat will only be infectious with toxoplasmosis when it is first infected. Toxoplasmosis is very common in cats so for most of them they will be infectious when they are kittens and then never again (many will catch it from their mother when nursing, others catch it from eating animals that are infected).

If your cat doesn't go outside the chances of it transmitting toxoplasmosis to you are really really low. You're probably at more risk from undercooked meat or soil left on vegetables, gardening etc. I wouldn't worry about changing the litter box.

Yes, you are far more at risk from meat. Just wash your hands thoroughly.

I've been changing cat litter throughout my pregnancy. Just put gloves on and then wash your hands afterwards, as I'm sure you would anyway.

You're far more likely to get toxoplasmosis from gardening than you are from your cat - it's in the soil.
