Hello all!
I joined tonight as I'd like to hear thoughts/opinions of others.
For the last 6 weeks I have been adamant I am pregnant despite my negative tests. The timings of unprotected sex/ovulation and the symptoms I have been experiencing add up and I'm struggling to understand if I have a medical issue that needs to be addressed instead.
I took my 3rd test today and it was AGAIN a negative, which as you can imagine was heartbreaking. Experiencing symptoms for 6 weeks and believing you could've made a miracle being taken away from you truly hurts. I had a cry this evening however I want to know whether these symptoms could relate to any medical conditions that resemble pregnancy.

  • cramping & stitch-like pains
  • food aversions
  • tender, sensitive nipples
  • heartburn
  • hormonal acne
  • increased urination
I understand this is vague and nobody can tell me if I am pregnant or ill, but from your experiences I'd like to know if anybody has coped with similar. Also, how to cope with consistent negative tests. Thank you!

I have searched online for conditions but again it’s all very vague, and yes I have a doctor’s appointment booked. I just wanted some first-hand experienced x

A number of medical conditions may correspond to these symptoms. These are not caused by pregnancy itself but rather by hormones that are higher during pregnancy. You may have an excess of these hormones without being pregnant though, with your body deceiving you into thinking you might have false negatives while in fact these negatives are correct just like they are for other people. Try to look at the possibility of you not being pregnant. You should talk to your gp about any symptoms that bother you, also counseling may help you find peace of mind.
