This week I am nauseous and dizzy. I can't focus on anything and I'm sleeping really badly. I feel like my body doesn't work and is fighting me.

Is anyone currently in the same boat, or can anyone reassure me this definitely gets better?

Xx

Poor you, this sounds horrible. If it helps I felt similarly at this point in both my pregnancies, both times it got loads better around week 12 and I started feeling human again. Fingers crossed things get better for you soon too.

I felt awful at that point in both my pregnancies. It peaked at 9 weeks then improved rapidly. By 12 weeks I felt much better. Completely better by 16 weeks.

Thanks @MunsteadWood & @AegonT. Not long to go then! That gives me such a lot of hope, thank you xx

I used to go to bed at 5.30pm and still be tired
I wasn't massively nauseous and the travel bands worked for me

Yes! I'm 32 weeks now, weeks 6-12 were awful but then it got progressively better and by week 18 I was feeling pretty good again. Honestly those early weeks I was like a zombie, do the minimum you can, it will pass xx

Hey, congratulations on your pregnancy.
I am currently 8+4 and feeling so nauseous, dizzy, headaches and total lack of energy. Luckily I haven't physically been sick. I have total food aversions and I am living off cereal and toast :(
This is my second baby and I remember feeling rough with with my daughters pregnancy, then all of a sudden I just remember feeling normal again. I think around 12 weeks so fingers crossed.
I've no advice other than do what you can to get through the first trimester :-D xxx

Mine got better at around 10 weeks, around 8 weeks I actually had a little meltdown crying my eyes out because I just felt constantly sick, tired, no energy etc

I know it does not help one bit when you're in it but it will get better x

I totally could have written this 6wks ago, crying to my husband that I couldn’t do it any longer etc. I found weeks 8-12 the worst with a discouraging peak in wk 12 just before improvement started. I’m 14+3 and a way off feeling 100%, but symptoms now
manageable - nausea less, less food aversions etc. You absolutely will feel better, my advice is not to put a week in your mind when you think you will be better as if you’re not, you’ll be disappointed. I thought week 10 would be better then was sad when it wasn’t, repeat for week 11 and 12. I would have managed better I think without these made up end points I’d set 🙄 x

I'm 7+5 and completely sympathise! Every morning since 6 weeks I have woken up thinking I can't possibly feel worse than I did yesterday and then I do.

I'm such a foodie and I have gone off EVERYTHING except olives and chips. I'm also feeling really dizzy when I stand up. Haven't been sick yet but the nausea is never ending.

Mum said she felt awful until week 14 so I'm counting down the days. OH is posted up North (he's an officer in the army but posted on covid stuff) so working full time, keeping house in order, walking the dog and sorting out my horse every day on my own whilst feeling sick is pushing my mental resolve to the limit!
