Occasional light brown discharge - 10/11 weeks

I had dating scan 27/11 and found I was earlier than we thought 9 weeks 2 days, saw baby and heartbeat and they said all was fine and booked in another scan for 21/12. 3 days after the scan I had some light brownish discharge in the morning when I wiped, nothing in underwear. Had this a couple more times over the next couple of days and then it stopped for 3/4 days. Then 2 days ago I had some more, again very light and not every time I wipe, still nothing in underwear. This happened again yesterday after bowel movement and then a little bit again today. I had sex 1/2 days before the discharge occurred both times so I'm hoping it's just cervical irritation due to this (I am very small and my partner is a lot bigger than me) but I've read so many horror stories now I'm freaking out! Plus I still have 2 weeks until my next scan. I'll probably call the GP in the morning for peace of mind as I don't have a contact number for and haven't actually seen my own midwife yet, but was hoping for some reassurance in the meantime, I'm an anxious person on a good day lol. Fingers crossed everything is okay🤞🏻

If it’s brown, it sounds like old blood. The cervix is very very vascular during pregnancy and sex can sometimes cause a bit of spotting. Keep an eye on it, any red blood and abdominal cramps it may be worth a visit to the doctors.

Im 13 weeks now but also had brown discharge at 9 and 11 weeks twice with a bowel movement when i wiped, it scared me so much that i refused sex just incase something was wrong, midwife reassured that after straining or sex, you may bleed a little or have brown/reddy discharge if your cervix is sensitive, not had it since but apprently its can be quite normal, call the gp for peace of mind and get plenty of rest if possible 😊
