Need to keep baby in!

Morning Everyone,

I am 35 weeks pregnant and having a planned c section on 5th January due to a previous EMCS. My first was 14 days overdue and I was desperate to get them out and tried everything!

My workplace has just announced that woman starting maternity leave on 4th January onwards will be entitled to an extra 8 weeks paid leave, which is brilliant. So this time, I am so keen to keep the baby in until the planned section date to qualify for this pay, I assume I should do the opposite to what everyone suggests to get a baby out?!

Do you have any annual leave that you can use before your maternity leave?
In answer to your question all I can think of is don't eat curry or have sex, or eat pineapple Grin

Good luck!

@FallingStar I do but legally have to start my actual maternity leave on that date or after, can't believe I'm actually willing baby to stay in when I am so over being pregnant!

Haha, avoiding sex is an easy one, will cut back on walking the dog and definitely won't be going near any raspberry leaf tea!

I'm hoping as was so overdue with my first that it would be unlikely for this one to come more than a week early but who knows!

I don't know any keep the baby in tricks but I was +15, +10 and +4 with mine so one born significantly past the EDD suggests there's a good chance your next one will be too...

@Santaisironingwrappingpaper Grin brilliant, when it comes to an extra 2 months pay, I'm hoping I'm as determined!

@unmarkedbythat that's really reassuring, thank you. I thought it must follow a similar pattern so I really hope it's the same for me as it was for you.
