I really don't know what to do.

So far i have been feeling regular very strong movements. That are uncomfortable sometimes it's so brutal.
Now since yesterday it's not the same. I feel her throughout the day but not all the time like before and it feels like it's coming from deeper, more cushioned.

I have anterior placenta so i think it might be her position but i can't help but worry still.

I am too early to go to triage or anything like this and i feel bad for phoning the midwife and she will think i am annoying with my paranoia !

What would you do?

Call your midwife and mention this to her. She will be able to tell you what to do

Babies don’t settle into a pattern until around 28 weeks and at 23 weeks is still small enough to move into positions where you don’t feel her. Remember some people don’t start feeling movements until 23/24 weeks.

That being said if you are at all worried ring the midwife. I went in for reduced movements at 24 weeks and they got me in to listen to the heartbeat and get some reassurance. They won’t think you’re bothering them.

Call your midwife. I had to have a c section at 35 weeks as one of my twins stopped moving. Even at 24 weeks, if things have changed, contact your midwife or maternity unit. They take reduced movements seriously and shouldn’t make you feel like you’re paranoid. At least have a conversation with your midwife - mine convinced me to go in when I did (I didn’t know he wasn’t moving but I didn’t feel right) and thank goodness. They may think that it is due to the anterior placenta but let them assess this.

Call your midwife/ maternity unit NOW. Don't put it off. Do it now. It's probably nothing but please get checked.

I had this last week at 23 weeks!! Baby boy slowed down for about 24/36 hours and I was really panicking.... I told myself if he doesn't have his usual wriggle after I have dinner I'd call triage as I remember my first baby did this at the same kind of point so know it's not always necessarily something to worry about. He started moving after dinner so I was reassured and by the next day he was up to his usual tricks of kicking me awake at 4am. Obviously if you're really concerned then call MW!!!! I think they can have slow days like we do or move into a position where we don't feel them as much xx

Thanks everyone for replying.
I held off on calling the midwife as I felt her all day just not as strong and now she is back to normal 🙂

@anotherboyontheway i think so early on to wait for the post dinner kicks is a good idea. Just like now it worked!!
Thanks for sharing x

Glad she's on the move again... being a mummy is so stressful even before they arrive lol x
