9 weeks. Where have my symptoms gone?

I am exactly 9 weeks today and my symptoms except for the slightest nausea have just disappeared? I've read so much that symptoms at 9 weeks actually get worse instead of better?

From week 4.5/5 until yesterday I was been puking most of the day and today I've not been sick or needed to be sick once. All I've had are some light period like cramping.

I had a scan last Friday at 8+4 and baby was wiggling around upside down with a heartbeat

Is there a chance something could be wrong or can symptoms just change so dramatically? Quite worried if I'm honest

@babylove2021
Sounds like you've not given it much of a chance. So you've been sick every day, except today? If I'm being honest, you need to calm down and not panic too early. Completely normal to have cramp and aches throughout. Maybe have a good read of the nhs pregnancy site.
Pregnancy is a really long journey, you'll go bad if you worry per day! X

@cat709 Hi Cat. I'm not really sure if your post was meant to sound belittling but it sure came across that way. What would be the point of mumsnet if every question resulted in the answer "look on the NHS website".

I came here to find out if this has happened to anyone else before, because I find it strange that literally it's all of a sudden stopped. I don't need to calm down thank you, I'm sure I'm not the first and I won't be the last to worry about something in pregnancy. But thanks for your input.

@babylove2021
You've given it one day, so I'm politely saying to wait a little longer before worrying - as I'm sure other days will be different for you - you might be sick tomorrow then all of today's worry will be for nothing.
I also mentioned the nhs pregnancy website because it's been a huge help to me, from diet, when symptoms should be and other helpful tips. You don't need to take the advice!
Dont come on here and snap at people who put comments up, that's the point of this!

@babylove2021 hey! I'm 9 + 2 I'm the same as you I've been so so sick for three weeks now! Then one day last week at 8+6 the sickness stopped, literally just didn't feel sick at all, that lasted two days but has come back with a vengeance! I freaked out so much, convinced myself of the worst, but I read so so much and from what I've read symptoms come and go as the hormones rise, I've been getting cramps too and backache! Xxxx

@babylove2021 I really don’t think the previous poster meant to belittle you at all. First trimester is such an anxious time, and you become hyper sensitive to every little wave of nausea and cramp and twinge. I’ve been feeling much more like my normal self since around 9 weeks. I went for a private scan at 9 weeks actually, because I was so worried that me feeling better meant something had gone wrong. Everything was fine. My 12 week scan is tomorrow and I’m up to 99 again with worry and nerves, I think it’s just one of those things that goes hand in hand with pregnancy and motherhood. I should really take my own advice, but the best thing you can do is to enjoy feeling better whilst you do, and to remember that what will be, will be. Worrying won’t change anything, and chances are everything will be absolutely fine. I’ve read probably every thread there is on MN about loss of symptoms at 9-12 weeks, and I’d say 99% of those threads had positive outcomes. X

Yes, I had days when my sickness was barely noticeable and days when even thinking about a cup of tea made me vomit. I didn't detect any pattern to it. My morning sickness didn't stick around for 12 weeks either (although I had dreadful fatigue).

Loss of symptoms can be a sign of miscarriage but it certainly isn't always. Wait and see. You have a check up at around 12 weeks, right?

I don't think PP meant to patronize you, but was trying to reassure you and encourage you not to fret over things you can't control and not to jump at shadows if possible. It is really natural to worry in the first trimester as it is the most likely time for something to go wrong... but then in Trimester 2 you have the all-important 20 week scan looming over you and then in Trimester 3 you are worrying that you've got this far it would be devastating for something to go wrong so late in pregnancy. It is basically a massive worry-fest! You will have a happier pregnancy if you try to ride out the worries; you don't want to spend it in dread. But I can completely understand why you feel anxious and it is easy to say "don't worry", harder to do in practice.

Do you have a gran or older relative to chat to? I found it invaluable chatting about how it was in "the old days" when there was no testing or scanning etc. Different mindset. Being pregnant is often so wildly out of our control, yet at the same time we feel like we should be able to control it. I also found that doing some yoga made me feel I was doing something positive, so maybe you can find something like that to help you through these long, long weeks.

I'm 10 weeks and mine have disappeared too. I'm hoping it's down to the placenta take over..
