Foley bulb outpatient induction

Has anyone had a foley bulb outpatient induction?
I'm booked in for one at 41+3, hopefully I won't need it (wasn't induced with my first). I go into the hospital where they insert it then send me home.
Has anyone had one? How was your experience?
I've opted for this type of induction over a hormonal inpatient induction as I don't want to be in hospital for days on end, I have a preschooler to think about and with the current restrictions in my area would have no visitors.

Hey, I had a foley bulb induction two weeks ago! Was very straight forward and effective. I had the balloon placed at 4pm in the evening (really didn’t hurt any more than a smear) and it fell out when I went to the loo that night at 3am. I was in hospital the whole time though - wasn’t sent home because of Covid restrictions. Some cramping in between but nothing major. Went from less than 1cm dilated to 3cm dilated in that time. I waited 12 hours for a bed in delivery suite where they then broke my waters. Labour didn’t start naturally after 2 hours so was given the IV drip (and offered an epidural beforehand which I accepted!) and gave birth 7 hours later. Pain free and controlled labour. Was delighted.

Good luck :)

I am getting induced using the same method in the second week of December. First pregnancy so have no idea what to expect.
