Completely depends on your employer's policy. Take a look at your handbook. They're unlikely to say you can't have the pay, BUT you may have to pay back some of your previous leave pay.

For example, i get a year of full pay for my company, but i have to come back to work for at least 6 months or i have to pay it all back (minus stat mat pay).

In civil service expect that you would if you are in work for 4 months in-between, buy you need to check your departments maternity policy. I don't think you have anything to worry about .

I think you have to be back at work for 6months to get the full maternity package- it probably varies depending on the area of the CS you work in (DVLA, MOD etc). Can you go back to work a bit earlier to get the time in?

Mummy134 · 25/11/2020 23:32

I could back earlier wouldn’t need to be much as I would be only needing to do like 6 more , however it’s hard as I’m off and can’t get in touch with hr of dwp to ask :(

Not an issue in my bit of the CS. A colleague of mine went back pregnant twice. Your continuous service includes maternity leave. I didn’t realise it might vary but I’d have thought it’ll be OK.

Here you are - DWP policy. A quick read through suggests you’ll be OK but you’ll want to check with your HR I imagine.
