28 weeks and ache "down there"

Sorry if this is TMI!

I am 28 weeks and for the past couple of days I have noticed like an ache "down below" - like in the vulva region. It isn't a sharp pain and there is no bleeding etc. It is worse when standing. I just wondered if any of you have experienced this before? I am wondering if it is just I am getting bigger and so more pressure being put on that area! Thank you for any advice.

Yes yes yes! At times I've felt basically bruised, heavy and swollen like crazy! I had it for a while I'm now 34+4 feel like elephant man sometimes 🤦🏼‍♀️

I would just give ur midwife a wee call always best to ask them questions, most likely from the baby gettin bigger but always best to be on the safe side x

Sounds like SPD x

Its likely from extra pressure and extra blood flow to that area, I’ve been having it too. Not a pleasant feeling

Yes I think I had similar and always found it difficult to describe. Every time I googled it only seemed to come up with sharp pain. Maybe mention to your midwife next time you see them but I'm sure it's just general blood flow/extra weight etc

Thank you all for your replies....I will definitely mention it to the midwife. I have an appt later on in the week. I am thinking it might just be extra pressure etc but wanted to know if anyone else had experience of this as it was hard to describe - like an ache, pressure but not sharp pain.

Sounds like PGP, midwife recommended this website to me and found it helpful.

pelvicpartnership.org.uk

Ive have some private physio which has really helped and also stopped doing long walks, taking small steps, being careful to keep knees together when rolling over in bed and getting in/out of car.

Sounds like PGP - I’m the same, feel like I’ve been punched all the time! Speak to your midwife as she can refer you for physio which will help.
