You don’t need one and they’re not recommended for safe sleeping. So many things seem to be marketed as essential for new babies now

Your baby should never be left unattended in one and they most certainly should not be used in a crib. Please read up on SIDS and the Lullaby Trust

Noooo! Loads of people use them and they do help to settle baby but they are massive sids risk. Ok for daytime sleeping if you are watching them but not at night.
The manufacturers stage you have to be in a semi awake state to use them or something of that working basically washing their hands if baby dies during the night. Definitely do your research, safest way for baby to sleep is on their back, no toys, no comforter and no blankets / sleeping aids

Lullaby Trust say not to use any sleeping pod, they aren't safe. Increased risk of SIDS. Babies shouldn't sleep on anything but a firm, flat surface

They are fantastic

We were given one second hand and it was great for day time naps when we were in the same room. DD really did sleep very well in it, and usually had to be woken up a few hours later.

BUT as pp have mentioned, they are really not recommended if you aren't going to be awake and in the same room, because of the increased SIDS risk.

Great for shorter daytime naps when you can supervise but not overnight in cribs ever! Your baby could face sideways and end up facing the raised sides - not good!

We had one and used it for around 2 months in the days, I honestly think it was a waste of money as he seemed to outgrow it really quickly, it got snug and then it didn’t feel safe so we got rid.

Absolute game changer! We had the babydan sleep nest, cheaper version of the sleepyhead and we felt it was much more breathable too. The first night my now 3.5 DS slept in it, he slept 10 hours at 12 weeks old. We also had the grande to help transition into the bigger cot as well which worked brilliantly.

I will get a cheaper version for when on the sofa or if i want her in our bed to chill or read or something (not in the co sleeper).
Or if going to in laws etc...
Not gonna risk it with overnight sleeping though!
