Self isolating birth partner

Hi!

My husband returns home from working away tomorrow. He will be out of isolation 14 days later which puts me at almost 38 weeks pregnant. In this time he is going to do covid tests to make sure he is negative. We are so worried about what will happen if I go into labour in this time.
It's our 2nd baby so I know the risk of earlier labour is higher.
I dont want to turn up to the hospital in labour and they don't let my husband stay because he has been to another country. He will fill in a passenger locator form but does anyone know if that works with the test and trace app? We are just wanting some advice as the not knowing is stressing me out so much which isn't good for baby. Thank you

Will his 14 days isolation coincide with you being 38 weeks? If so, chances are it will be ok

Obviously it's possible that you go into labour at 37 but most women give birth between 39&41 weeks.

If he is self isolating and you go into labour then no, he wouldn't be able to come with you. As he's meant to stay at home. Hopefully you won't go into labour.

Stay calm... relaxed... no stress and hopefully you will keep baby in full term. Flowers
