Hi everyone,

I hope you're keeping well during these totally bizarre times!

I received an email last night confirming a positive case of covid at my workplace (research laboratories) and it's gotten me feeling really quite anxious about what to do given the risk of severe illness in pregnant women (based on statements from the CDC and RCOG - links at the bottom).

Should I go to work, accepting that the risk of contracting covid myself is relatively low or do I play it super safe and insist on working from home?

I guess I'm just looking for personal opinions here as to what you'd do - I know I can be the only one to decide. Thanks ladies! :)

@el108 Congratulations on your pregnancy!

The decision has to be whats best for YOU. If you feel anxious about going to work, that isn't going to help you and baby so I'd push to work from home.

I'm pregnant too with my first baby and I was always anxious about Covid. However, I try to reassure myself now that if I'm going to get it, I'm going to get it. DH could get it from work and pass it on. Somebody could cough as I'm walking the dog around the park.

Hopefully this eases your mind but definitely insist on WFH Smile
