3cm dilated! How long did you take to go into labour?

So I’m 37+1 today and went in to be assessed for induction but, been sent home as they don’t need to give me anything as I am already 3cm.

Now waiting for a place on labour ward to have my waters broken but, anyone who was 3cm how long did it take to go into labour?

Could I expect to go into labour before they finally have a place on the labour ward?

Oh sorry OP, I had him the same day!

Was checked at 9am by OB and was 4cm, had a sweep, left the appt and went to work to grab some personal stuff.

Waters broke in my car just after 11am, got to hospital around midday and was already nearly 7cm, fully dilated and pushing by 3.20ish.
Baby arrived at 4pm.

Baby boy born at 1:52am, dinky 5lb 13oz.
Had my waters broken can’t remember what time lol but, was 5cm at 1:40am

With my first my waters went at 6.30am, I was 2cm at 8.30am and fully dilated by 10.30am! It was intense.

He was very quick, 5cm at 1:40am and he was born at 1:52am!
Contractions came really quick and fast as soon as my waters had been broken 😩

No hanging around there! 😁
