Headaches 14 weeks pregnant

Hey all!

Since around the end of my 13th week, I've had bad headaches!

They last for days and aren't relieved by paracetamol.

I'm not sure if they are muscle or pregnancy related, or both!

Any tips on to relieve headaches or shall I contact my midwife?

Thank you!

Hi, sorry I can't give a miracle cure but watching this thread as I have had an increase in headaches since 12 weeks.

Just got rid of a two day one and it just leaves me feeling dazed for a couple of days after.

Like you paracetamol doesn't touch it...fun!

I had this with my dd, only thing that helped was rest and having a snack. Probably went around week 22-25, sorry can't remember more specifically as it was 3 years ago xx

Im in the same boat. Started around week 14 and i wake up nearly every day with one now (17wks). I have found that they ease off after a little chocolate (!) so it could be linked to a slight glycogen crash overnight from body being busy and me not getting much sleep.

In my second trimester I had horrible headaches, always in the afternoon, half a glass of coke (which i dont regularly drink normally) really helped. Think it was the sugar and caffeine. I had read it as a recommendation elsewhere. Definitely speak to your midwife as it could be related to something else. Hope you feel better soon.
