Hi guys, new to mumsnet, first viable pregnancy.
I really need some advice...
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and had some new pains or sensations tonight, first it was in my back like a sort of squeezing/pulling pain, would last about 20/30 seconds then go, I got this twice in an hour and a half, then about an hour later I started getting pressure/heavy /tight feelings in my bump that sometimes spread to my thighs. They aw more frequent, I also have had a sensation in my bits like lighteningcrotch. None of this has been unbearable. Just unsure what to do?? Tia

My advice is to try to get some rest. If it is the start you'll need it and if it's not then you'll wake up in the morning abs know.

Take care a mind good luck!

Thankyou @SadAndPregnant, I'm just finishing my cuppa then gone try and go back to sleep for a bit.
Probably the adrenaline of it I was so tired earlier, now full of energy!

I agree with sadand...
Conserve your energy and don't forget the power of warm water, it really does help.
Best wishes for a speedy labour and good experience OP.

@Mysa74 thankyou, I'm still unsure, it's not painful just tight and heavy and like I can feel my heartbeat when it happens! So weird

How are you doing @Andilees93?
I've only just seen your update, my DD is 14 weeks and although I'm in more of a routine sometime an hour lasts for weeks and sometime I blink and it's tomorrow 😂

@Mysa74
Hiya, I'm feeling ok today, woke up fine after about 4 hours sleep, havent had many of the tightenings today, only a couple of mild ones, so I rang my midwife and she thinks it's just braxton hicks but told me to keep an eye!
And aww how lovely! Is she your first? X

My 3rd, I have been blessed with easy pregnancys, fast labours and adorable children... Eldest is 9 going on 19, middle is 4 and suffering from the terrible twos. They adore their baby sister.
Braxton-hicks can be similar to actual contractions apparently, but they can stop if you move around... One thing's for sure, you're nearly there. Baby will come when they're ready but midwives will want to evict by 42 weeks so your countdown is underway... You too will soon be staring at a tiny face, hypnotised by the changing expressions, thinking "crumbs we made this" and "it's a real baby" and "what do I do now?!" Grin
