Sainsbury’s have a little selection of premature clothes.

My first baby was tiny - I got tiny baby and early baby - one is 4lbs ish one is 5lbs - M&S, boots, Matalan.
Pampers do preemie nappies.
There are lots of lists of what to pack online
I had a c section and really benefited from oasis the drink! Any nice squash! I was really thirsty!
Comfortable pjs, pants, wash bag, slippers, dressing gown, pads, breast pads, comfortable bra. Cotton wool, tiny cardigans, hats and mittens
Hope all goes perfectly and they get to come home quickly xxx

M&S, sainsburys and boots all do some lovely tiny baby/premature baby clothes that are good quality and quite reasonable. In terms of hospital bag for mum: a couple of nighties/PJs, some comfy day clothes (I was in hospital for 8 days after my first and high waisted leggings, vest tops and shirts were great), nice toiletries, some cheap massive knickers, maternity pads (I found the thick boots ones best), if bottle feeding some ready made mini bottles of formula, if breast feeding nursing bras, nipple cream and breast pads. I took my own cushion and a soft blanket, something to entertain her (iPad, book, phone and charger etc) some snacks and squash. I also had a little toiletry bag with things like lip balm, face wipes, mints, loose change) that I could keep in easy reach. A pair of flip flops were useful as my feet were so swollen and the ward hot. For baby: some vests and baby grows, a pack of nappies and cotton wool balls(boots and Tesco’s do the prem ones), some little hats and mits, Muslin squares, a blanket. My first was in special care for a week and they were really helpful and provided some stuff like nappies, dummies and cotton wool but it might depend on each unit. I also left a pile of stuff at home (clothes for me and baby extra snacks etc) so if I was in for longer than planned family could just grab stuff to bring in. Good luck to your DD I hope everything goes as well as it can!

Thankyou they are saying baby may just make it to 3lb and will most likely be a c section so not to cause any distress to her will get online in the morning and get looking where has been suggested

I had a c section with my second I would def make sure she has high waisted leggings and massive knickers so there is no waistband sitting on the wound/scar. One of those hot packs you can heat in the microwave was great for pain relief and have a few packs of paracetamol and ibuprofen in for when home.

Best things i packed for my c section - big pants (up to tummy button and stretchy material)

  • high waisted leggings
  • slippers
  • dressing gown
  • phone charger with extra long cable (plugs are up behind the bed and you dont want to have to turn around constantly)
  • water bottle with straw (like a fitness one so can drink laying down)
  • Rennie Deflatine for trapped wind post section
  • maternity pads (lots! I used a pack a day to begin with).

For baby - asda and M&S have a good prem baby range.
Little woolen hat, cardigan, vests, sleepsuits.
Cotton wool as baby wipes are too harsh to begin with.
Pampers prem nappies.
Ready made formula if formula feeding.

Also for mum lots of nice snacks.
