This is going to sound so ridiculous... Oat milk...

I just happened to read the back of my alpro oat milk carton today and saw chicory root fibre is one of the ingredients. Chicory should be avoided in pregnancy as it can trigger uterine contractions etc. Slightly worried although I'm sure it's not enough for this. But I drink oat milk pretty much every day. Searched online and found absolutely nothing linking alpro or other oat milks to not being safe in pregnancy. But this is my first pregnancy and I'm very paranoid! Should I try to find oat milks without this? I'm not sure it's in every brand, I have a feeling Oatly wouldn't have it. Or am I just being an idiot!!!

Yes you're being a bit silly.

Oat milk is fine

So I think it has to be taken in high dosages to cause those sorts of effects (same with liquorice). The amount that oat milk will contain is very small but you can always switch if it makes your anxiety better

Chicory root fibre is an alternative name for inulin (not to be confused with insulin) which can be used to give a sweet dairy like flavour in dairy free products. It also acts as a pre-biotic, encouraging healthy gut bacteria. It's harmless in pregnancy.
