Yellow / brown discharge

I'm 9 weeks 2 days pregnant and I haven't had any discharge since implantation a week before I found out I was pregnant but this morning when I went to the toilet and wiped there was a mucus type discharge which was yellow and brown in places. It took a good two or three wipes for it to not be appearing any more. Could this be something to worry about or would it be related to pregnacare vitamins? I can't get in touch with my midwife until tomorrow as it is Sunday so any help would be really appreciated. I had a reassurance scan at 7 weeks which shown our baby and a heartbeat of 131bpm I'm just worried that something is wrong :(

@America5 let me know how you get on.
I’ve just had the same this morning at 6 weeks. I’ve had very clear brown discharge in my last two pregnancies and they both ended in missed miscarriage - I don’t have many symptoms at the moment either so not really looking good for me I think .....😕

Hey! Oh no have you I'm so sorry Thanks I phoned my midwife this morning and she didn't seem concerned at all she said that it can be normal when my body would typically be expecting a period but just said to go to a&e if I experience bright red blood or really bad abdominal pain. I also phoned the hospital I am booked in at and they didn't seem concerned either they just asked if it smelt which I said it didn't and then they wasn't concerned. I think they were just ruling out an infection. My symptoms seem to have subsided slightly today too so I'm quite worried. This is my first pregnancy.

@whatsgoingon22 try and think positive, I know it's hard because I'm a manic worrier especially since I've found out. What was your discharge like? Was it yellow?

Hi again, yeh very pale light brown- barely noticeable but because I analyse everything I know it’s there. Just had it again now.
I think I just know my body now - honestly barely any pregnancy symptoms and the same thing happened at exactly 6 weeks last time too and it went down hill from there.
Obviously everyone is different and each pregnancy is different and there are lots of positive outcomes to brown spotting but sadly my track record is pretty dismal 😞have you had any cramps? I’ve had a few today.
You’ve seen a strong heart beat at 7 weeks so that’s really good - don’t panic yet Xxx

America5 · 09/11/2020 18:46

Oh I see and ah no don't give up hope yet! Is there any way you could have a scan either privately or via hospital so you know what's going on? I wish you all the luck in the world that you have a positive outcome! Yeah I've had cramps/twinges since before I found out. I only notice them when I think about them but other than that I can barely notice they are there, is that the same for you? The only symptoms I've had today is sore nipples but the past few weeks and yesterday I felt extremely nauseated, tired & sore nipples. Maybe I'm just having a lucky day of feeling normal but I can't help but worry when I had that discharge too, I keep trying to stay positive by thinking about the heartbeat but I know that lots could've happened in over two weeks😢xx

@America5 I hope you are doing okay, were you able to get an appointment with your midwife or EPU?
I’ve got one this evening. I know what way it’s going though. I didn’t have many symptoms but they have nearly all faded now. Discharge has stopped but I know from my track record that doesn’t mean anything only prolongs the situation for another few weeks 😔I hope you’re doing better xxx

America5 · 11/11/2020 09:07

Hey! I haven't no, I've managed to book a private scan tomorrow afternoon though so fingers crossed all is ok! Don't loose hope yet @whatsgoingon22 my symptoms subsided at 6 weeks and 4 days which made me worry and book a private scan and now they seem to have stopped again at 9 weeks 5 days. I'm just hoping that it's just up & down for both of us! Let me know how you get on at your scan later today! I wish you the best of luck and will keep everything crossed for you 💗💗

@America5 hey - not great news for me to be honest. 3rd time unlucky it looks like 😢
Measuring about 6weeks (My dates are 6weeks 3 days) but heartrate was really slow, like barely visible. So basically Mc is highly likely. Back next week for a rescan but not looking great. Xxxx

America5 · 11/11/2020 19:08

@whatsgoingon22 I'm so sorry - what was the heartbeat if you don't mind me asking? I really hope that it's just a blip & somehow picks up for your rescan. I can't imagine how you're feeling - sending you so much love 😢💗

@America5 how are you?? You must be 12 weeks now or very close? How are you feeling?
Surprisingly for me things went so well last week at the scan - I couldn’t believe it - saw a thumping heartbeat, measuring to size, I was in disbelief it was an absolute shock.
The next day I woke up to brown discharge and it was on off for about a week, I immediately started to think the worst as it’s happened to me with my M/C but went for a scan this morning and unbelievably all is okay still thank God. Measuring at 8weeks 6 days which is further than I expected. So yeh still in shock and this has been such a rollercoaster but I am very grateful so far ❤️❤️❤️

America5 · 26/11/2020 20:36

Awwwww @whatsgoingon22 I am so so SO happy for you!! That's amazing news, I'm sorry to hear you had discharge again but so glad to hear all is ok with baby! I hope you're ok & feel slightly more relaxed (if possible). I'm really am so happy & relieved for you !! I'll keep you in my prayers, hopefully this is your time!!❤️❤️❤️
