Pregnant and have suspected shingles

Hi there im freaking out a bit as I have suspected shingles...meaning I've sent a photo of the rash to a doctor about 5 days ago and that's what they thought it was (but not allowed to go to doctors or maternity ward as they don't want anything spreading to others).
I don't feel ill but the rash is not getting any better and it anything the area is a little more swollen and red than before. Is this normal? I've googled everything to the max and I'm reassured that there is no danger to the baby since I've had chickenpox, but I'm just worried that it might not be shingles and that its not getting better. Does any one have any info or advice please I really want to know if the swelling is normal and if it really does take a long time to get better. Thanks so much

Did they not prescribe anti virals?

You’ll get better. That sounds like my experience. They were very definite that no impact to the baby.
Try and sleep more as I think the shingles indicate you’re run down, which of course morning sickness and insomnia abs the like can cause.

They might scan you more for reassurance. It will be fine. Best wishes

Thanks for the replies- no anti virals prescribed? Are they essential?
Thanks its so hard not to worry when we are all locked down with too much time on our hands...just hoping to see some improvement soon - I don't feel ill which I'm taking as a good sign. Also I'm 27 weeks pregnant so not having to deal with morning sickness on top of it which is nice!
Thanks for the replies - I might check in with the GP tomorrow just to get that extra bit of reassurance and send them updated photos. Thanks again

Virals have to be taken within a few days to shorten the episode. I don’t know if they’d give you them when pregnant either. Hope it passes soon.
