Hi all

I am 25 weeks and just doing some reading online about movements

For last couple weeks I have been using count kicks app and recording, i find i get movement in morning and evening but in the day i dont feel to much if i am moving around only feel it when laying or sitting, all depends what position he is in to limits what I feel

I was told to chose a time when most active and should feel 10 movements in 1 or 2 hrs? I norm get 10 movements between 10 and 20 mins... someone else said that this isnt right thing to do, you need to feel a pattern as to what times during day you feel movement or something could be wrong if a change occurs i have read so many horror stories I feel sick, i just dont feel movement right throughout the day

Do the kicks get stronger by 28 weeks? because as i said i feel occasional kick if i am stood up or moving about but mostly feel things when laying down

Sorry if this sounds naive this is my first pregnancy

Thank you x

Sounds totally normal, OP.

The X number of movements in an hour isn't necessarily meaningful at all - it's all about your own baby's pattern.

I could feel an easy 50 movements in a short space of time at times!

It's also normal to not feel movement when you're active until you're a bit further along, and you may really only see a defined pattern develop in the third trimester.

Keep tracking, and if you notice a change in your baby's pattern then it's always best to go in to be checked, but what you're describing sounds normal to me.

Babies don’t tend to get into a set pattern until around 28 weeks so I wouldn’t stress to much until then. Then just start taking notice of your babies pattern

You don't tend to feel it moving around because you're occupied with other things. I also read recently that if you move around the rocking puts the baby to sleep, and they tend to move less when asleep or don't move at all, so you don't feel it. No idea how accurate this is, however!
