Exercise while TTC and when pregnant

Husband and I have decided to have a third baby. We have dd aged 9 and ds aged 6. I'm 38. Had no trouble conceiving either time, was first month trying, very lucky!
So, when I conceived was pregnant before I didn't exercise at all either before or during pregnancy. In March DH and I started doing HIIT workouts every day to help relieve monotony and downer of us all being at home. Now do 5-6 HIITs a week using an app. Workouts range from 7 to 21 mins long and are cardio, core, lunges, push ups, sit ups, squats etc. I love exercise now mainly for my mental health and energy levels. Hadn't had much affect on physique sadly but that's because I eat loads. I really want to keep working out when pregnant but been wondering if there are any drawbacks/risk with it. I was wondering if after ovulation, are there any exercises I should avoid. We've only tried one cycle so far (unsuccessful) and after ovulation time I didn't do crunches or burpees or anything lateral. I'm wondering is that unnecessary to make the change at that point? I'm wondering ahead about 1st trimester and what workouts I could safely do and the recommended frequency. Any advice would be helpful from people in the know and also if people know of any really good pregnancy workout apps. I can't see myself getting into yoga right now but I would like to try it if I get pregnant in second trimester. Thanks in advance

I got pregnant 1st time whilst training for a marathon. I carried on training and did the marathon at 12 wks (not as fast as I would have liked!) this time round I’m cycling and running - not changed anything - I’m 9 wks. I don’t think you need to stop the ab workouts until you’re properly pregnant and I think everything else you can carry on with as long as it feels comfortable.

Wow that's impressive! Thanks for the advice. I guess my concern was just that exercise might somehow affect things or cause harm. I was pregnant first try with other children. This time it didn't happen like that (only one cycle down so far though) and I'm guessing that's because of my age.

You don’t need to really change anything until after the first trimester. Even then, it’s only a few alternations (for example - you can still do core workouts, just certain moves like crunches you should avoid).
I ran a half marathon in my first trimester and have continued to run until 32 weeks. I have also continued to do workouts, including HIIT, throughout (I did a HIIT workout this morning, plenty of lunges! - I’m 34 weeks).
I would recommend the Results with Bump website. They have trimester specific workouts you can do. They range from yoga and Pilates, to HIIT, weights and dance.
