Bad morning sickness and I can't get through to GP

I'm around 12 weeks and have had morning sickness since 6 weeks. Some days its manageable and I think it's finally easing up then days like today it's awful and I'm struggling to keep anything down. I've reached the end of my tether with it - I have no energy, I feel awful all the time and I look awful too. I've been trying to call my gp to get anti-sickness meds but no one is picking up the phone. This was a problem pre covid but at least you could walk into the surgery and make an appointment at reception. That's obviously not an option now. I'm going to keep calling them but I remember from when I booked my flu jab lat month it took about 2 weeks of calling every day before someone picked up the phone!

Is there anything I can do in the meantime to help improve things? I'm doing the usual stuff like small meals throughout the day, not eating until I'm full etc. I'm trying to get fluids in when I can but drinks always make me sick. I've had some luck with jelly, soup and ice lollies but I know it's not enough because I feel thirsty all the time and my skin is very dry. I don't have hyperemesis though and I don't think I'm clinically dehydrated, so it's not serious enough to warrant a hospital visit.

Salty things help me. At the moment I am eating olives and ritz crackers because I felt a wave of MS coming on.

My GP is only contactable by filling in a form online and they then call you back within 48 hrs

Sometimes I used to try eating straight after throwing up but when you're having a bad day, sometimes its useless. Sorry you're having no luck.

Eat small amounts of baked potatoes. That helped me tons.

Ask your midwife. She gave me a prescription for anti sick meds at my booking In appointment

Sending sympathy I'm 37+4 weeks and still sick a lot. I have tried different combinations but nothing much seems to help though I found eating slowly and having plenty of time to digest food after helps a bit.
Hang in there

Thank you for the tips!

I'm already living off Ritz crackers. So bloody sick of the things now Grin.

I will double check my gp website to see if there is a form I can send in, that's a good idea.

At my booking in my mw said I needed to contact my gp if I wanted anti-sickness meds, but if all else fails I will text her and see if she can help!

Shock at being 37+4 and still being sick, hopefully baby makes an appearance soon!

Sorry for not tagging you all, I hope it makes sense who I'm replying to!
