Due to give birth, do I break lockdown rules for support from my mum and sister with the baby??

So I'm due on the 7th November with my first child which means I'm going to give birth either just before or during the second national lockdown. I'm thinking about breaking the rules so that my mum and sister can meet the baby, I need some advice about wether that is an awful thing to do or not?
I do live at with my husband but I was hoping for their support in the first few weeks!

Oh definitely OP! I had my first in May during lockdown and would have loved support. If I could turn back time I'd go back and break the rules if I could!

We don't know that lockdown will actually end in December, and you don't want to risk it being months til your close family can meet your little one.

Good luck with your baby and enjoy the support your family are able to give you!

Thanks for your replies everyone! Sorry to hear from all the Mamas that struggled during the first lockdown, it must of been tough.
I think I'll wait at least the two weeks until OH goes back to work and then see where we are.

My first baby was born on September 17th and sadly none of my family have met her yet... almost immediately after our discharge lockdown measures in my area were tightened again and they are almost 300 miles away so unfortunately a visit without an overnight stay would be impossible. They couldn't bubble with us because my 90 year old nan needs their support, so we've had to make do with zoom calls but it's really not the same.

If I was in your shoes and and family nearby I would definitely take advantage of the childcare loophole on the caveat they they're sensible and follow the guidelines. Mentally it has been incredibly draining getting by without a family support network, and if there was any way we could have avoided that then we would have.....
