There are some great product reviews if you go back to the home page and check out the menu on the left hand side. They will help enormously.

stick to the basics and ask people to buy stuff as pressies. mothercare do the baby equivelent of a wedding list. i would say you need a pushchair, a moses basket (unless pushchair has a carrycot), cot (not till later), feeding equipment, pack of vests and sleep suits, changing mat, nappies, wipes, blankets and sheets. cant think of anything else. you always end up with tonnes of newborn baby clothes so i would try to resist

Hi Pregnancy magazines often have lists in them. Also John Lewis do a free nursery advisory service (leave cards at home, it's just to get a list!!!) which we found really useful as a starting point. There are loads of debates on here about buggies etc, take your time, shop around and don't let yourself get carried away when are you due? are you on an AN thread? I'm on the Jan one and we talk about what we need all the time!

There's also loads of stuff you won't need but think you do!

Your major purchase will probably be a pram/pushchair so I'd spend sometime researching that tbh. Also perhaps think about what sort of nappies do you plan to use? Will you really need a monitor? etc etc

Congratulations btw

Don't forget the car seat

And don't turn your nose up at anything 2nd hand you are offered, as babies grow so fast many things are barely used. There are many reviews on this site for bigger equipment like cots/buggies/changing tables etc.
