Anyone bought or know anything about books for grandparents?!

I saw these books in Waterstones at lunchtime and thought that maybe one would be a nice for PIL for Christmas. We are expecting our first baby in Jan and they will be grandparents for the first time. I don't want to offend (or make a rod for my own back ) but thought it might make them excited and less anxious. My MIL is a manic depressive and spent the first months of DSIL's life in a hospital followed by the first few years of DH's life back in there so she's had very little to do with babies and they scare her. Any comments warmly received

The Good Granny Guide by Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall is a good read.

Second covenhope's recommendation
At last a Fearnley-Whittingstall writes a book worth reading shocker
NB reading this book really won't turn your MIL, or indeed any other grandparent, into the lovely person that Jane F-W clearly is...
But in your situation I think it is a lovely thought and that book won't be too daunting or preachy

Oh, that's one of the ones I saw too. Thanks. My MIL is a lovely person very able but thinks she's not, FIL has the shakes, can't see well and is frail (he 74) but thinks he is invincible and as he brought up DH and DSIL I think he'll think he hasn't lost his touch
