Hello all!

I am 4 weeks pregnant and 6 days, so exciting! This is our first baby so this is all very new!

So far, no sickness but very tender boobs! When did everyone else begin the dreaded morning sickness?

Also, I have today spoken with my GP and they have prescribed higher dose of folic acid due to my weight and have told me to buy extra strong vitamin D tablets rather than taking the pregnacare I am currently taking.... anyone else had this and been okay? Slightly worried that doesn't seem enough compared to what the pregnacare tablets have in them!

I am trying to keep up walking at least half an hour a day and three gentle swims a week - what's everyone else doing?

Anybody else in the 4 week/5 week range? Looking forward to sharing this journey with others!

xxx

Going off the first day of my last period, I will be five weeks tomorrow. I’ve actually just made a post in regards to the pains I am getting in my lower left abdomen. They woke me up two nights ago, & although I can tolerate them. They don’t feel very nice. I have them again now while I lay here. I also keep getting a weird, sickly dull ache in my left shoulder joint, so I had to go speak to the doctor today as I was worried it was a ectopic pregnancy. They don’t seem too confused, but I’ve been advised to have an early scan in about a week. Other symptoms I’ve had are slight sickness, but not sure if that’s due to nerves. I had a horrible metallic taste in my mouth for about three days & went off my coffee at around 4 days late on my period. My sense of smell is REALLY sensitive atm. Like that’s what made me realise I probably was pregnant. As for the past few days, I’ve been feeling starving all the time, but I don’t fancy anything. Like, I feel a bit sick when eating. But then after about 1-2 hours to eating, I get this deep hunger pain again lol it’s not fun. I wanted to lose weight, not get fat 😂

Congrats btw. This is my first time too & I’m too nervous to be excited yet haha

I just got my bfp on Saturday and going by the last date of my period I am 5 weeks today!
This is my first and after trying for over a year it was a bit of a shock as was expecting another negative.
Phoned the Doctors today and all they told me to do was self defer to Maternity. It doesn't yet feel quite real and I can't wait to have my first appointment and scan to see its actually there!

Hey @KelzDaily,

Your symptoms sounds very similar to mine except for the shoulder pain, i was having really bad pains on my left side and was expecting my period i usually have really painful periods because of my endometriosis but i got a + test instead. I rang the EPU they brought me in the next day and did bloods and a scan (i was too early to see anything) and then they did bloods again 2 days later, if your hcg has risen alot they usually say its very unlikely to be ectopic. I asked the nurse what the pains could be and she said its most probably the bowel. Hope everythings ok for you

I’m out, just had 8 week scan and there’s only a tiny sac with no pole, let alone a heartbeat. Good luck to everyone else, hopefully once nature’s taken its course I can try again with one of my frosties.
