Morning everyone,
Last night I had a bit of a bump to my belly, directly at the point of my uterus typically, which was quite hard, it definitely caused some pain and I had to stand up to relieve it. It still hurts a little, though I think I've been getting round ligament pain the last few days anyway and have felt as though the uterus has been growing. I've not had any bleeding either overnight or this morning but thought I should ring the midwife as everything that I read online suggested I do that to make sure they don't want to see you.
I rang the midwives, and don't know if it was a receptionist, but she was not very reassuring at all. She said that if I start to bleed or experience more pain to go to A&E but otherwise because in her words 'it is so early on in the pregnancy' that it could go either way. She said that a few times over the call and obviously hasn't helped my anxiety! Its the first time I've contacted the midwife team outside of my appointments and made me think I'll definitely not do that again.
This is my first pregnancy and so I am probably a little more anxious than if it was a subsequent one and I also don't feel that I am still 'so early on', I'm nearly half way?
Do you think I should contact my GP or just wait it out and see what happens?
Thank you
