The doctor told me today my baby boy has too much fluid in one side of his brain . I didn't really understand . She said it was 11 then went down to 9 now I have to wait a month to know what's going on . I'm only 17 and this is my first baby I don't know what to do . Has anyone else been through this I'm not sure what's called but I need some advice & support

I'd contact your midwife and try to have another appointment to get more explanation. I know covid blah blah, but I'd also ask if you can take someone with you to be another set of ears.

Was this identified at the 12 week scan? Have they arranged for a consultant appointment? X

In your notes there will be a contact number for your midwife? Call that and ask for more information and to have a more in depth discussion about what it means?

Would it help you to have someone with you when you speak to a health professional? Sometimes it’s too much to take in and can be useful if you have your partner or mum with you?

Thank you so much . I was really confused because when I went for my 25 week check up they did not tell me nothing . Said my baby was fine and healthy . But this time she said last time she seen home side of his brain had to much fluid but that it went down this time
