What counts as a ‘long walk’ at 40 weeks?

Just that really! Desperate to get the baby moving now but I’m tired after about 20 minutes. How far do I need to walk to have any effect?

Obviously I realise if the baby isn’t ready, he isn’t ready. I’m just getting desperate now!

Walk until it starts to really piss you off, then go home and clean the kitchen floor on your hands and knees, eat a curry and have a quickie. Baby be here before you know it!! Oh, and raspberry leaf tea too OBVS

But seriously, don't exhaust yourself! You need to have the energy to push the baby out too!

squat down as far as you can

Just walk as much as you can, don’t push yourself! I found the birthing ball was great too, so get bouncing if you have one!

I was also going to suggest bouncing on a birthing ball, rather than pushing yourself to walk further than you’re able

For me at that stage, it was about 3 steps. Severe pgp!!

Birthing ball!!!

At 40 weeks I was waddling about 2k with the dog.

At 41 weeks I was lying on the sofa not moving an inch.
